Assuming that
my idea is even further well received (to the point where implementation seems
within reach due to high demand), my exit strategy would be as follows:
1. Open up an online avenue for students and drivers to share their ideas
about SNAP and possible improvements
2. Sift through the feedback and present the complete plan to the student
body
3. After final adjustments, schedule a meeting with Student Government,
UFPD, President Fuchs (if possible)
4. Present my ideas and work with all relevant parties to get the
application running smoothly
5. Implement proper driver training and educate students on the updates to
SNAP
6. Enjoy the faster, more reliable service
I think that
this exit strategy is reasonable because my service is non-profit. The school
already funds it and I would never expect to benefit monetarily from improving on
and around campus life. It was this mindset of making campus transportation better
that fueled my initial elevator pitch way back in January. I always kept in
mind that SNAP was already an established service at UF and that influenced my
decision not to change it too drastically or confuse any previous users.

Ryan, I think that your exit strategy is very reasonable. I like how you explained out exactly what you would plan to do for it and were not vague about it. I also think that exiting is a good idea since you won't really be worried it when you are not in college anymore.

Ryan,
ReplyDeleteI like your exit strategy and the overall concept of your service. SNAP definitely needs some improving and I like that you are taking this matter into your own hands. I especially like your number 5 strategy to educate people because I believe that this is, ultimately, the most effective way to make improvements. It is important that you have recognized that this app already exists, which you have, so you are definitely on the right track and I love your concept!

I think you picked a very reasonable exit strategy. You can get out anytime you like and you will not be making anything off of it. Your strategy was very descriptive and easy to understand and I think that with the way you idea is that this is the best strategy. Here is a link to my exit strategy, my company is also a non-profit program: http://courtneydscott.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.html
