My initial
interview with Zackary Kampf, developer, marketer, and occasional driver for
EnvoyNow was great. EnvoyNow is a food delivery service paired with a mobile application that makes ordering simple for all parties. I learned a lot about his company and strengthened a
valuable connection with a successful entrepreneur. I revisited him today and
asked him the following questions to see how the business has matured since we
last spoke:
1. What improvements have you made to the service lately?
“Recently we added Mi Apa as a new restaurant to the
application. Additionally, we held our first special event where we brought
Buffalo Wild Wings to campus!”
2. What more have you learned about your customers and their
needs?
“We have heard loud and clear that customers want us open
longer! We are working to ensure that this happens as soon as possible.”
3. What is your
immediate, big plan for the company this year?
“Well, what I can tell you is that our plan
includes a big marketing push during finals week since there is typically a
higher demand during this time. We’re also working to ensure that we will be
open for the summer so we can target the new class of 2020 students that will
be here during summer B.”
I have
come a long way in this class and my confidence whilst talking to strangers has
improved. I was never uncomfortable being social and putting myself out there,
but this online class has given me nothing but top notch real world experience
dealing with business owners. I don’t think that there was an overt sense of this prevalent in the conversation but I noticed it without a doubt. I continue to wish Zack success on his entrepreneurial journey and recommend EnvoyNow to any one.
Is the person you interviewed just an employee at this store or location? They do not seem to have a long term plan of action, or give good answers in my opinion. Maybe find someone in a more legitimate business, or a job of more significance for advise and such. I've never heard of this place before but it seems like a great idea! I would've loved to have used this during my finals week! You asked great questions and it really seemed to help you out in your own endevours! Check out my interview here to see the questions I asked! http://jhoreckyblog.blogspot.com/2016/04/very-short-interview-part-2.html
